Sure Vent 2 (SV2®)

The Readmed Emergency Ventilator Resuscitator SV2® is a single patient, multi use automatic resuscitator providing ventilation support for both breathing and non-breathing patients. It is a constant flow, pressure cycled device designed to provide proper tidal volume, airway pressure and respiratory rate which are critical components of emergency ventilation and resuscitation. Absence of the aforementioned can impact mortality and morbidity on a wide range of patients suffering from illness or injury.

SV2® Advantages

The advantage of the SV2®,as compared to manual resuscitators, is its ability to deliver consistent and reliable hands free resuscitation. Manual resuscitators, such as BVMs, may have adverse effects on patients as a result of inconsistent ventilation and undesired levels of Peak Inspiratory Pressure (PIP).

Entrainment is also delivered by the SV2® at up to 65% FiO2 of external air, so drastically reducing the use of oxygen.

SV2® Features

  • Single patient, multi-use automatic resuscitator

  • Provides ventilatory support for both breathing and non-breathing patients

  • Supports patients 8kg and higher

  • Constant flow, pressure cycled providing desired tidal volume, airway pressure and I:E ratio

  • Automatically adjusts for lung compliance, key in ARDS and the prevention of barotraumas

  • Pressure cycled on inhalation and exhalation minimizing the possibility of gas trapping

  • Gas powered, requires no other power source and runs on a continuous flow of 6-40 lpm with O2 concentrations of 22-100%

  • Maintenance free 5 Year shelf life

  • Optional electronic monometer with alarms

  • Highly cost effective

  • Light weight, under 100gms
